Woke up to the sound of my waterpipes not being happy. Sigh. There is 2 repairmen wandering my apartment right noww, nor really repairing anything. At least it doesnt look like it.
So, personal day off work while someone goes through the back wall of my closet to access pipes.
Its like I dont work anymore. I miss work. I am eagar to be in the office tomorrow.
I heard a rumor on the NOAA website that SnOMG is coming later this week. sigh.
So SnOMG 1 and SnOMG 2 have happened. I dont know where to put any more snow. I slept all day. I had the day off work on friday, becasue of SnOMG2.
I havent really managed to do much. Kelleyw as here for a visit last weekend but my Ute hated me and her hip hated her so we didnt do much other than Hang out. Thank goodness she has been to boston a bunch before.
My sloth is overwhelming me. I litteraly have worked 8 days this month. Between the plague, and the SnOMGs and the holiday and weekends.
I spoke to Sato, he might be coming out to chill with me when work sends me to LA next month. That will be cool. Have someone to go out and hang with after work. Ive gotten a bit lonely lately and I think the depression is showing through with all my sleeping.
My commute into work tomorrow is a wonderful -29F. funtimes. Funtimes. I will see you in hell.

I havent left my house in 6 days. 4 days was due to the plague of ’11 and 2 days is due to SnOMG ’11. I am actually really looking forward to going to work… for one day before the long weekend.
You might thing I would have taken this opertunity to catch up on things around the house. Nope. I havent even changed my PJs. Im gross. After writing this I will most likely tackle the bathroom, and maybe the kitchen, but for the most part I have accomplished nothing!NOTHING!

Bree I have to make 6000 a year just to make my student loan payments. Even though my car is payed off, and I just pay insurance, I have to make 1000 a year more because I had an accident 3 years ago, becasue a pregnant lady with an open container, cut me off in the rain in a construction zone. So, long long long time readers may recall that I go through cycles of restlessness. The big cycles have manifested themselves into, complete and total social circle breakdowns, Going back to finish undergrad, moving to North carolina, and going to grad school. Im currently in a down cycle. I dont want to get stuck. I was thinking for a while that I should get a film fest going here in Boston for the Native American community, but with the Board elections, and basically the Native American community center going to hell in a handbasket, Ive kind of lost my ambition for that… it might pick up steam again. I am emailing a few people about it in the morning.
I had a fantastic lazy holiday, where I put together a desk for my mom, got an ICE package made up, got her hooked up on wifi, set up netflix on her wii, helped my parents navigate legal and government forms, read 2 novels, Cleaned off bookccases, had a wandering adventure with my sister, got 2 stamps on my National park service passport, saw the fighter with my dad, played card with the neighbors, and finished lego indiana jones for the wii and season 8 – 10.5 of top gear. Ok maybe I wasnt as lazy as I thought, no, I was, I should have done more for my parents while I was down. I feel bad about that. ugh. Less time watching TV, more time getting shit done for my parents. *head desk*
V picked me up at the airport. I really liked that.
New years eve I spent up in New Hampshire with Jonia and thier friends. It was good, even if I felt a bit like an outsider. It was really pretty up there… thats for sure.
Tomorrow I have to come up with a plan on how to reshape my job. Ugh. more on that later.
My new years resolution is to have as many real entries in this blog as I Do FB updates.

So, it’s that time of year again; instead of a card I am sending one of those Xmas letters … yes, I know.
2010 was a weird year in Bree – Land. It was my 33rd year, some people call it your Jesus year, I prefer to think of it as my Eva year. Eva Cassidy American singer cancer 1996: Eva Braun German Adolf Hitler’s lover suicide 1945: Eva Perón, Argentinean actress, wife of President Juan Perón cancer 1952; all died at the age of 33. So don’t cry for me Argentina, I haven’t dated a mass genocide committing ego maniac, and I also haven’t started singing and dancing in public, so not bad year.
Things I did accomplish this year: wrote a thesis, graduated with an MPA, caught up on my sleep, got a raise and promotion. The thesis was on Urban Native Americans and Housing. An MPA is Masters in Public Administration. I’m still working for N(redacted), and I finally don’t have assistant in my job title. Did I mention catching up on my sleep?
Work has sent me to KC twice and DC once. In February, work is sending me to LA. They really like sending me to cities that are known by 2 letters.
I am thinking of putting on a Native American Film Festival in Boston. Funding and Interest might be lacking, I will be attacking that after the holidays. Speaking of Native American projects, I ran for the Board of the North American Indian Center of Boston; for the fourth time. I did not get on. Which is for the best really, the financials are a disaster and I’m not sure I could have contributed much.
Still single. Still no children. Still living with roommates. Still happy.
I am hoping all of you have a wonderful 2011, and a good holiday season. I miss you and I need to keep in touch better. So, if I make it through my Jesse James year without being shot in the back, you’ll get another one of these letters next year.
