New York City and Boston do not rank in the top ten metros with the highest concentration of American Indians. However, they do have a 193,100, of American Indians living within their combined metro areas. This means that 4.5% of the American Indian population lives within the New York City and Boston metro areas.To put this in perspective, the largest reservation in the US is the Navajo reservation. It has 180,472 people living on it. There are more American Indians living in Boston and New York City than American Indians living on the largest of the 314 reservations in the US.
